SYMinU opens its "doors," provides incentives to learn


   SYMinU is our latest initiative. It takes our existing self-improvement support groups and our in-person volunteering by clients and adds self-paced learning and packages it into a SYMinU transcript.
   As clients add experiences, they earn points they can redeem in our SYMinU store. We piloted this in 2019 and had planned to launch it, but plans changed in 2020. It is launching now in 2021, and we're super excited!
   Launch of SYMinU means we need cool, one-of-a-kind incentives for our store in the form of donations from around your house. Great examples of things our clients get excited about are working tablets, notebooks, phones, headphones, game consoles, name brand clothing, sunglasses, learning kits or tools, higher-end art supplies.
   The start of 2021 is a great time to give that working-but-no-longer-used-or-needed item to serve as incentive for clients as we encourage them to set rising expectations for the year and in their lives. Items can be donated by dropping them off safely at our alley door with social distancing M-F 12:30-4:30. You can also ship them to us at 408 W 23rd Street Basement.
