hold our very popular Cooking It Up event every summer on Wednesdays!A group or family selects a favorite meal, shops for the ingredients for 12 plus yourselves, and works with our clients to prepare the meal. Everyone works together, eats together and shares a great fellowship time! Some popular meals from the past two summers have included: breakfast, sushi, and pulled pork, but you can use your imagination! Street Youth Ministry of Austin exists to know, love and serve street-dependent youth. The first step of our mission is to notice street youth. Then we must understand their culture to know how to love and serve them. SYM spends time every day with more than 100 young adults. We provide basic services, counseling, referral to services, and Christian guidance counseling. It it a privilege to know these young people.
